…and off we go! Today we took delivery of the first of the mobile homes to our new Algarve showground. To begin with we have a selection of smaller 2 bedroom French origin homes arriving. These all have two bedrooms, 1 and ½ bathrooms, living area with kitchenette fitted with a hob, and each having a free standing fridge with small freezer compartment.
These will soon to be followed by the arrival of a selection of larger British mobile homes. We source homes throughout Europe, then start the bureaucracy of arranging transport which includes a ‘convoi’ exceptional’ back up vehicle to travel with each transporter from all over Europe to bring homes here to the Algarve, along with all the paperwork that comes with organising these journeys.
Once on the showground, each mobile home will be assessed to see if replacement parts or repairs are needed, bearing in mind that these are used mobile homes, therefore in order to keep prices as low as possible, each home will be assessed individually as to what is needed relevant to age and price. Once on site, each mobile home then has to be placed into show position, stabilised and levelled, ready for viewing once it has been cleaned and prepared.
In order to transport these mobile homes, each is prepared for transportation, by means of packing down the furniture, white goods etc, and taping all doors and cupboards to stop damage during transportation.
